Concerts and Kebab


 This week was weird. While we did not do a lot at school, as we are preparing for our internship in that will start in two weeks, I did do a lot of of activities outside of school. I went to a dorm mates concert on Thursday, and I hosted a Kebab party on Friday. The picture above depicts the two other Dutch people I live with, and a Spanish guy who also lives with us. He is studying composition, and he asked us if we were interested in his concert that he did with his fellow composing students. Although he could play like the devil, his fellow students could learn a bit or two from him. 
The other picture is the aforementioned kebab party. I was going to eat kebab at a friend of mine and that spiraled into a giant 11 person party. It was kind of stressful cooking for that many people, but I liked the challenge and in the end I got a lot of compliments on my cooking. People here bleive I can cook really well, so I am always happy to indulge in that.

Things are going well, and next week we have a break. I am hoping I can still join a group on their vacation, otherwise I will be a bit lonely at my dorm.

Camp, Karaoke and Nordic dips.

  I hope the videos will load, but if not I have had a fantastic week. With the camp (which was entirely run by us) to the karaoke night, to the Nordic dip I had today, it was all-round amazing. I have had a ton of new experiences this week, and 99% of them being positive. I whittled a wooden crocodile at camp, had a lot of time in nature, sang some songs until the early  hours of the morning, and finished it of with a dive into the almost freezing sea today. I am very much enjoying myself here!

First days of school

  I had my first two days at school today. Although the start was wholly something I did not expect, I did meet some cool people. My first two days involved a lot of music. I don't mind music at all, but I thought this course was more about nature then about that kind of stuff. Be as it may, I did have fun with my fellow students and I have met some wonderful people. I am trying my hardest to be social and the fruits of my labour are paying off. The picture is of one of my classmates Mira and I standing at a roof garden. Also Hi Mira if you are reading this.

Last week of internship and King's day

 This week I had my last internship week. It was really nice, and we did several activities. Catching animals in the water with the children, baking cookies and our last activity: Cooking on the fire outside. I had a tremendous time at internship, and when I left it I even got a collection of drawings from them. Tobi and I going back there before the end of my stay here in Aarhus. Martijn hosted a King's day party this week and that was also a lot of fun. I met some of his friends from the Netherlands and they were really nice. All in all a nice week.
