Last week of internship and King's day

Image
This week I had my last internship week. It was really nice, and we did several activities. Catching animals in the water with the children, baking cookies and our last activity: Cooking on the fire outside. I had a tremendous time at internship, and when I left it I even got a collection of drawings from them. Tobi and I going back there before the end of my stay here in Aarhus. Martijn hosted a King's day party this week and that was also a lot of fun. I met some of his friends from the Netherlands and they were really nice. All in all a nice week.

Back to internship and an aquarium

Luckily I could go back to internship last week. I was starting to get bored at home, and I already had the feeling that I missed a lot. Ironically my internship partner became sick over the weekend, so I was mostly alone throughout the week. That was fine of course, and I had enough fun to justify that I learned a lot on my own. It was a pretty standard week however. Cooking for people, playing DnD and just having fun. In the weekend I visited an aquarium with some classmates. It was a north sea themed aquarium and I had fun nerding out about animals and the like. It was a beautiful day and I don't regret having to wait 2 hours in the car to get there. This week promises the last week of internship, and I hope I can make it a fun one.

Sick again.... and a music festival

So this week I was sick, which sucks a lot.  I missed a full week of internship because of this, and the leading theory is that I got sick due to the germs ruminating in a place like that. Everyone is starting to get sick that is going to a kindergarten, and I was just the first one. So I had to recover almost the entire week.  Other than that, not much going on this week. Other than me going to a small music festival at least. I went there on a recommendation of Tobi, and we went with a group of around ten people. It was a lot of fun and I heard a lot of interesting songs from the students there. Not much going on this week, but I managed to have a nice week.

First week of Internship and Odense

This week was my first week of internship at a daycare/kindergarten. I was expecting the kids to be shy and quick to ignore us, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the kids were actually really interested in us. Although they do not speak English that well, they speak enough for me to get an understanding of what they want from me. This coupled with the fact that the kids themselves constantly want to have me with them is really nice. I feel welcome among them. Throughout the week I have just been playing games or crafting with them, and it is nice to rediscover some things that I used to do when I was 6 myself. Saturday I went to Odense with Martijn and Sophie. We went to the H.C Andersen museum and that was a nice experience. After that we went to a park and had a nice dinner in a food hall. A nice week overall

A week of Vacation.

This past week I had a great time. I had a ton of fun cooking and doing other stuff like going to a museum. But the week was mostly about cooking. Thursday I made my own pasta with an Australian friend I met here. We made the entire sauce ourselves, and the entire process has thought me a lot on how to make some good Italian cooking. The Day after, I went to a Natural History museum with David, the same person that had a concert not that long ago. The museum was not that special, but it was still really nice! I had a great ton of fun and it was nice hanging out with someone so different. Saturday was mostly gathering the food for Monday's big brunch, but I did go out for a walk at night and found a lizard and a lot of frogs. We had to walk really slowly so we didn't step on any of them. Sunday was cooking day. I started at 10 in the morning, and I stopped cooking at 18:45. I did have help, but I did the majority of the work. This was all because of the brunch I hosted today. S...
