A week of Vacation.
This past week I had a great time. I had a ton of fun cooking and doing other stuff like going to a museum. But the week was mostly about cooking.
Thursday I made my own pasta with an Australian friend I met here. We made the entire sauce ourselves, and the entire process has thought me a lot on how to make some good Italian cooking.
The Day after, I went to a Natural History museum with David, the same person that had a concert not that long ago. The museum was not that special, but it was still really nice! I had a great ton of fun and it was nice hanging out with someone so different.
Saturday was mostly gathering the food for Monday's big brunch, but I did go out for a walk at night and found a lizard and a lot of frogs. We had to walk really slowly so we didn't step on any of them.
Sunday was cooking day. I started at 10 in the morning, and I stopped cooking at 18:45. I did have help, but I did the majority of the work. This was all because of the brunch I hosted today.
So today I made brunch. I made grandpa's egg salad, two types of jams, tabbouleh, a quiche, wraps with salmon, deviled eggs, a tomato pesto, carrot pancakes and scones (without yeast because I forgot it). We all had a wonderful brunch, and I had way too much. Better have too much than too little. It seemed that everybody had a good time, and I got a lot of compliments.
Tomorrow my internship here starts, and I am looking forward to it, but I am really tired from the last few days. I will talk to most of you soon.
